A reconstruction project is being launched in the Naujoji Vilnia microdistrict of the capital. The premises of the technical inspection station are being renovated here. The reconstruction work of the technical inspection station located on Linksmoja Street is being carried out by the construction and sustainable urban development company YIT Lietuva. The reconstruction is planned to be completed in May 2020.
During the reconstruction, part of the building structures will be dismantled and new premises will be installed in their place. A smoke measurement canopy will be installed in the renovated technical inspection station premises, and new electrical, low-voltage, heating and ventilation systems will be introduced. After the reconstruction, the total area of the premises will reach 318 sq. m.
The project will also include improvements to the building's surroundings - the asphalt surfaces of the entrances and parking lots, as well as sidewalks, will be renovated. In total, it is planned to improve the surroundings of 1,160 sq m.
"This is not the first time we have cooperated, we appreciate the customer's attention to quality and modern solutions, which will be given great attention during the project. After the reconstruction of the technical inspection station premises is completed, services will be provided to drivers faster and more conveniently. At the same time, a modern working environment will be ensured for the company's employees," says Kęstutis Vanagas, head of YIT Lietuva, which is carrying out the reconstruction. YIT Lietuva has also built the Tuvlita Avižieniai Technical Inspection Center on Old Ukmergės Road.
