A new technical inspection station in Šalčininkai
Although superstitious people often call Friday the 13th "unlucky," the managers of the company "Tuvlita" made a fun joke about black cats and invited everyone to the opening of a brand new technical inspection station in Šalčininkai.
"Psychology professors have studied the experiences of thousands of people and have come to the conclusion: superstitions related to numbers, colors, or similar things really have no effect on success. Whether it comes or runs away depends only on our own attitude and behavior. In this sense, the opening of a new technical inspection center undoubtedly symbolizes success for all road users. Car owners will be able to check the "health" of their cars more conveniently and quickly here, and there will be fewer dangerous vehicles on the roads and streets," said Povilas Imbrasas, General Director of UAB "Tuvlita", smiling as he welcomed the guests.
According to him, although the new TAS in Šalčininkai is not the largest, its diagnostic equipment is not inferior to any other of the 68 technical inspection centers operating in Lithuania: the technological equipment used during the inspection alone cost 150 thousand euros, and the total investment in this TA center reaches 840 thousand euros. These solutions allowed us to raise technical inspection services to a new qualitative level, because the previous Tuvlita branch in the village of Zavišoniai, where drivers from the Šalčininkai region had their cars inspected for 12 years, and the subsequent decade in premises rented from the Transvela company, were actually much more modest. Some motorists joked that if the car did not fall apart on the way to the inspection line, it could automatically be considered “solid” and a positive TA protocol could be issued without additional procedures. Now everything is new, modern and convenient.
"Not to mention more convenient infrastructure, better working conditions for inspectors - a modern heating system, MAHA lifts instead of pits that you had to go down to inspect the chassis, along with these installations, motorists are given the opportunity to pre-register. That is, choose the most convenient day and hour to check the "health" of the car, without wasting a minute waiting in lines," emphasized P. Imbrasas.
However, the CEO of Tuvlita called the most important thing the opportunities for TAS inspectors to perform the main mission of technical inspection much better: to "filter" traffic flow and eliminate cars that pose a threat to other road users.
"Even German traffic safety experts claim that approximately 6 percent of all road accidents occur due to technical reasons. In Lithuania, where the age of the transport fleet reaches 15 years and is almost a third older than in Germany, these problems are undoubtedly even more painful, although they are usually not reflected in official accident statistics. Wishing that neither you nor your loved ones will ever experience danger on your daily trips, on behalf of the "Tuvlita" team, I promise to perform the tasks entrusted to us precisely, accurately and professionally," said P. Imbrasas.
On the occasion of the inauguration of the new TAS, the "Tuvlita" team was congratulated by Josif Rybak, Director of the Šalčininkai District Municipality Administration, Gintaras Aliksandravičius, Expert of the Traffic Safety Department of the Ministry of Transport and Communications, Kęstutis Jadzevičius, Head of the Vilnius Branch of the State Enterprise "Regitra", and Rimantas Didžiokas, President of the Lithuanian Association of Technical Inspection Companies "Transeksta".
