Maintenance of the Company's Electrical System (Person Responsible for the Electrical System)
If the rated power of a company's electrical equipment exceeds 30 kW, a person must be designated to be responsible for the electrical system.
Companies that do not have their own qualified employee who can be responsible for electrical systems may enter into an electrical system maintenance contract with a company that holds a certificate for the operation of the relevant electrical equipment issued by the State Energy Inspectorate (VERT). In such cases, the person responsible for the electrical system is appointed by the contracted company.
The certificate issued by VERT authorizes “TUV NORD Lietuva” to operate electrical installations up to 35 kV and to perform the duties of the person responsible for electrical systems.
