A vehicle powered by an internal combustion engine is a source of pollution that emits toxic substances into the environment through the exhaust system along with the exhaust gases:
Vehicle manufacturers must ensure that internal combustion engines emit as few toxic substances as possible into the environment. High concentrations of pollutants in exhaust gases lead to higher fuel consumption and pollute the environment. During the inspection, we will assess whether the concentration of pollutants (CO, CH, m-1) in your vehicle’s exhaust gases does not exceed the permissible limits.

Exhaust Gas Neutralizers
Catalytic converters. The concentration of pollutants (CO, CH, NOx) is reduced by an additional chemical reaction that takes place in the catalytic converter. The percentage of each pollutant in the exhaust gases also depends on the air-fuel ratio λ (lambda) at which combustion occurs.
Levels of toxic substances with and without a catalyst:
Particulate filters (DPF). The condition of a diesel engine is checked by measuring smoke opacity (light absorption coefficient, m⁻¹).
