General certification scheme for energy workers
Learn about the certification process for energy sector employees
Requirements for applicants:
- A person wishing to obtain an energy sector employee certificate of the relevant category must:
1.1 meet the general qualification requirements (education, work experience) established in accordance with their current position or the work actually performed;
1.2 meet the specific qualification requirements established in accordance with their current position or the work actually performed (Specialized Knowledge Assessment Program);
1.3 meet the continuing education requirements in order to renew or upgrade their certificate. - When submitting an application, the applicant must also provide documents proving that he or she meets the requirements.
Certification Process:
- Upon receipt of an application, the submitted documents are reviewed, and an assessment is made to determine whether the applicant meets all the qualification requirements for obtaining a license in the desired category.
- If it is determined that a person does not meet the required qualification standards, that person will not be permitted to obtain certification.
- If a person meets all the requirements set for them, they are given the opportunity to be certified.
- Applicants must arrive on time at the designated certification location. They must bring with them a photo ID and proof of payment of the certification fee.
- Certification is conducted in the official language through a test. Applicants are briefed on the certification process.
- The test was passed (the test is considered passed if at least 70 percent of the questions were answered correctly).
Payment for Certification Services
The applicant (or their employer) pays for the certification services by bank transfer to the specified bank account. The fee for the certification services and the account information are published on the website.
